Reporting To Parents

Seesaw is the app and online program that we use regularly as a school to:

  • share your child’s learning journey
  • send school newsletters and notices
  • communicate between teachers and whanau
  • share your child’s school report

If you have any difficulty accessing Seesaw at anytime please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the school / your child’s teacher and we will happily help you.

Reporting Your Child's Progress

Parent / Teacher Interviews

During Term 1 and Term 3 we have opportunities for parent / teacher interviews.

This is a time to bring any questions you have to discuss with your child’s teacher and for the teacher to share how your child is progressing at school.

Please remember that you don’t have to wait for the interviews to meet with the teacher if you wish to discuss anything.

If your child’s teacher and you have concerns about your child’s learning i.e. where your child may require extra learning support, then an IEP (Individual Education Plan) meeting will be setup to discuss this further.  During this meeting a plan will be made together so your child receives the best support possible.

Open Evening

During Term 3 we have an opportunity for parents to come along to their child’s classroom.

This is an opportunity for your child to share their learning with you.

The evening is not a parent conference time, but a chance for your child to be the teacher (by making you complete tasks or experience different activities) and also be proud of what they are achieving at school.

School Reports

During term 4 teachers will be gathering data and writing your child’s school report of progress for the year.  This report will be sent home via Seesaw unless otherwise requested.

Please ensure that you let your child’s teacher know if you require more than one copy of the report due to family circumstances.

Reports usually go home within the last 2 weeks of the school year.
